Peek A Boo Pattern: Skip Along Skort

As I mentioned in the Skyline Skort post... this is the wee girlie version from Peek A Boo called Skip Along Skort.
The shorts were made from a previously loved tee shirt in my stash.
I also wanted to make a shirt to go with this skort so this is what I came up with...
And yet another great pattern from Amy Hindman at Peek A Boo Pattern Shop!

My version of a Sport Skirt, a Peek A Boo Pattern inspiration

In my last post I shared the Skyline Skort from Peek A Boo Pattern Shop.  It reminded me of a pattern that's been dancing around the fringes of my mind for a while now.  I drew up this quick sketch and made some measurements.

I'm calling it a "Sport Skirt".  I modified Amy's PAB Skyline Skort pattern to create this one.  Modifications:  Made the skirt slimmer, longer and changed up the bottom to be similar to the School's Out Shorts.
I wanted something comfortable and MaryVance *loves* pockets... and easy enough for running around playing soccer and dodge ball and... I did not make shorts under this one but I will next time.
Thanks to Amy at PAB for inspiring me to get this skirt out of my head and onto my daughter!

Peek A Boo Pattern: Skyline Skort

I really wanted to try this pattern for my pocket-loving daughter, I did not have a good fabric for the shorts part so this is just the skirt.  The fabric is rayon.
Another fabulous pattern from Peek A Boo Pattern Shop.  This one is the Skyline Skort.  This is kinda the 'mommy' version of the Skip Along Skort girls pattern!  Stay tuned for that one in a few days ;)

Peek A Boo Pattern: Aloha Burn Blocker Suit

Today's Peek A Boo Pattern Post is the Aloha Burn Blocker Suit modeled by Nehemiah.  I made this after I made the Hang Ten rashguards for Elijah, Isaac and Joseph so this was made with the scraps from those shirts.  You would know the only colors of fabric I had on the shelves were green, red and white!  LOL  I think he looks like a cyclist or something :)

And a bonus because he is so adorable... (ignore the untrimmed thread...)
Nehemiah loves the Aloha so much he wanted jammies made the same way.  I modified the Aloha to make it looser fitting than it would be for a swimmer and voila!  He's a very happy camper!

Peek A Boo Pattern: Little Gentleman Tie

My brother in law recently wed his beloved and I, of course, made dresses for the girls.

The older boys went 'shirt and tie' shopping...

...and I wanted to make ties for the younger boys with a coordinating fabric that would help tie everything together.  I found this fabulous pattern at Peek A Boo Pattern Shop
Loving these sharp ties from Amy Hindman's pattern Little Gentleman Tie.

Molly's Shiny New Smile

June 4, 2015... Sweet Molly... She has entered a brave new world... lol.  Molly was born with no permanent bilateral incisors (the teeth on either side of the big teeth) on the top.  When her baby teeth there fell out, her permanent canines turned and moved into those spots and her baby canines never fell out.  At least not yet... they will eventually... so we all decided it was better to have all of this taken care of now (when she's still at home, insured and not married, pregnant, taking care of babies, etc...)  So the plan is to pull those baby canines, move the permanent canines over where they belong and then have implants for the bilateral incisors.  Last week she had expanders put in and yesterday the expanders were removed and braces were installed (?).  Next month the baby canines come out and the real 'move these teeth' dance begins.  Dr. Johnston thinks it will be a two year process.  Molly, full of fun and humor (as always) said "Well, at least you know I won't get getting married for at least two years!" LOL

Many thanks to Dr. Johnston of Johnston Orthodontics and his fabulous staff!!

Andy and Missy... sittin' in a tree...

Tony's brother Andy finally found his other half!  Missy is a delightful addition to the Looney Lewis Family!  LOL  They got married last weekend in a beautiful state park lodge.  It was a lovely and perfect 'Andy & Missy' wedding!
These are all from a quick photo shoot at Grandmother's house before we left for the wedding...

The closest I have to 'twins'....

My redhaired ones...

Sam, Caleb and Luke... all grown up...

MaryVance and Sam

My stairsteps are all messy now!  LOL

The rest of these are from the wedding... MaryVance was on camera duty so if you see lots of pictures of our children holding 'babies', you will know why!

See... don't say I didn't warn you!  Molly and Gavin (nephew of Missy)

Emma, Gavin's twin sister, with Sam

Oh, yeah, there was a wedding too!   Lovely cake made by Tony and Andy's sister Mandy!

Oh look!  It's Emma again... with Isaac :)

Boy believes his Mama when she said 'You better not get food on that tie!' LOL

The wedding was so wonderful, just perfect for Andy & Missy!  It was so wonderful to meet her family and we really enjoyed spending time with Gavin and Emma!
