Peek A Boo Pattern: Skip Along Skort

As I mentioned in the Skyline Skort post... this is the wee girlie version from Peek A Boo called Skip Along Skort.
The shorts were made from a previously loved tee shirt in my stash.
I also wanted to make a shirt to go with this skort so this is what I came up with...
And yet another great pattern from Amy Hindman at Peek A Boo Pattern Shop!

My version of a Sport Skirt, a Peek A Boo Pattern inspiration

In my last post I shared the Skyline Skort from Peek A Boo Pattern Shop.  It reminded me of a pattern that's been dancing around the fringes of my mind for a while now.  I drew up this quick sketch and made some measurements.

I'm calling it a "Sport Skirt".  I modified Amy's PAB Skyline Skort pattern to create this one.  Modifications:  Made the skirt slimmer, longer and changed up the bottom to be similar to the School's Out Shorts.
I wanted something comfortable and MaryVance *loves* pockets... and easy enough for running around playing soccer and dodge ball and... I did not make shorts under this one but I will next time.
Thanks to Amy at PAB for inspiring me to get this skirt out of my head and onto my daughter!

Peek A Boo Pattern: Skyline Skort

I really wanted to try this pattern for my pocket-loving daughter, I did not have a good fabric for the shorts part so this is just the skirt.  The fabric is rayon.
Another fabulous pattern from Peek A Boo Pattern Shop.  This one is the Skyline Skort.  This is kinda the 'mommy' version of the Skip Along Skort girls pattern!  Stay tuned for that one in a few days ;)

Peek A Boo Pattern: Aloha Burn Blocker Suit

Today's Peek A Boo Pattern Post is the Aloha Burn Blocker Suit modeled by Nehemiah.  I made this after I made the Hang Ten rashguards for Elijah, Isaac and Joseph so this was made with the scraps from those shirts.  You would know the only colors of fabric I had on the shelves were green, red and white!  LOL  I think he looks like a cyclist or something :)

And a bonus because he is so adorable... (ignore the untrimmed thread...)
Nehemiah loves the Aloha so much he wanted jammies made the same way.  I modified the Aloha to make it looser fitting than it would be for a swimmer and voila!  He's a very happy camper!

Peek A Boo Pattern: Little Gentleman Tie

My brother in law recently wed his beloved and I, of course, made dresses for the girls.

The older boys went 'shirt and tie' shopping...

...and I wanted to make ties for the younger boys with a coordinating fabric that would help tie everything together.  I found this fabulous pattern at Peek A Boo Pattern Shop
Loving these sharp ties from Amy Hindman's pattern Little Gentleman Tie.
